In the Showcase of replicamagic3.to, we have another brand new Speedmaster for the Supra, and I definitely wouldn't miss this opportunity. I am of course referring to the dark side of the Speedmaster Moonwatch. For more than half a century, the replica Omega Speedmaster has been a pillar of watch lovers. Calling this watch an icon is not at all an easy task, and we will not let go of the term easily here. Purists may scoff at the notion of an all-black Speedmaster, and it is this update that brings the historic icon into the realm of contemporary thinking. When given the opportunity to wear the new Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon for a week, I couldn't resist. It's a watch I've had my eye on for a long time, and while it's not perfect, it does make me think, and when the week is over, it's hard to take off my wrist.
Speedmaster Moonwatch
Omega made an immediate splash when they first introduced the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch dark watch in 2013. They are still making this watch today, so there is a reason it is still lasting among special edition or commemorative moon replica watches, which are very unique. People will absolutely love this watch, and for good reason. I can't wait to tell you about it. I think this is a highly modernized version of Omega's moon watch. As you know, since the moon landing in 1969, this lunar watch has remained consistent in many of its characteristics, mainly the 42mm size, the hand-wound 1861 movement, and of course the acrylic crystal on top. To this day, these things have remained consistent. Nowadays, you can still buy essentially the exact same Moonwatch. the dark side of the moon is definitely a departure from the dark side in many ways.
Ceramic Case
The first thing you will notice is the black solid ceramic case. This is definitely a modern feature of this watch. It is made of solid ceramic, which is an extremely delicate process. This is a very durable piece. It's definitely a watch that can perform in many ways that, as you know, that's not the case with the Moon watch. It's a testament to how much watchmaking technology has changed in the decades since then. The other thing you'll notice is that this is a 44mm and 25mm mm case that sticks out much more on the wrist than the Moon, which is already quite large as far as chronographs go, at least in the overall chronograph. It's definitely something more modern and contemporary.
Watch Thickness
At 44mm, it's much larger than the replica Omega Speedmaster I'm wearing now. The extra thickness of the case allows for this as well. The reason the case is so thick is because it actually has a self-winding function. This is a reference to the 9300 chronograph movement, which is very different from what they do in all their moon replica watches. This has a sapphire sandwich crystal at the top and bottom, so the watch is considerably thicker. It sits high on the wrist and is very prominent. It' shape will be very different from the Moonwatch you may already own or at least the Moonwatch you are familiar with. Obviously, it's an absolutely beautiful watch, with a black dial and case all around. But you do have these lovely white gold hands on the chronometer and dial, and a very bright loom that gives it a high contrast and makes it very easy to see and easy to read, which is what a lot of people need if you're looking at all black watches.
Nylon Strap
Another thing that makes it really sporty and really durable is the great nylon strap they make that is very comfortable. I now have something similar on this replica Omega Speedmaster. It really is the most comfortable thing you can wear on your wrist. It does really make this watch more powerful and really has the ability to stand up to a lot of tests and that's certainly what Moonwatch was originally intended for. Absolutely beautiful This is a very special version. We have red stitching on the other side as well, which I think gives a lot of character to the strap, and with a watch like this, that may indeed be an afterthought. But they certainly took the time to craft every detail. On the back, we do have The Dark Side of the Moon engraved on the outside, as well as the pressure-tested handwriting that was actually tested at 50 meters underwater - which has been tested on it, which has brought it up against the lunar watch itself. Omega Speedmaster fans and Omega Speedmaster collectors, this is something they are very familiar with. You've no doubt heard of it but you may not actually be able to hold it in your hands or ask the right questions about it yet. This is a great watch. It really is one of the cornerstones of Omega's excellent modern watch collection. It's something that they're still very proud of today. We're very proud of it and we want to talk to you about it. We actually came with a beautiful, original Dark Side of the Moon box, which I don't often care for in terms of replica watches. But you could say it goes a long way with this because it looks absolutely beautiful. You will enjoy looking at the watch every day when you take it out of the box.
